Severe cold temperatures, along the northeast seaboard, have not allowed any boats to leave port to attempt to harvest any clams. Areas close to the shore are frozen over. As temperatures continue to stay this low, during the Arctic Blast, it will only cause more shortages. We can only wait for Mother Nature to warm the weather. In the meantime, PPF does have wonderful 11/16 ct. and 21/24 ct. frozen, fully-cooked clams. Give our customer service department a call for more clam information: (570) 460-2447.

Shrimp supplies are steady. The Winter holiday demand will cause the market to rise on larger- sized shrimp. Retail markets are making their holiday buy-ins now. Lobster tails: the Carribean's (warm water tails) season is now closed. The Canadian (cold water tails) harvesting season is also over. Currently, both types of tails are in stock; supplies are good and the market is steady. Holiday foodservice demand will cause the markets to rise starting in December.
